1. How many rooms are there? Layout? Can we get latest photos?
4 big Bedrooms (one ground floor and 3 on first floor), 5 Bathrooms (one on ground floor, four on first floor, 3 are attached to bedroom)
with shower bath + western toilets, Big Hall / Lounge with small Kitchenette in ground floor, Dinning area, spacious Corridor, huge Veranda, large open Terrace. Latest photos on our FB page and WhatsApp Catalogue
2. Is food served?
Yes, homemade delicious food by our cook, huge variety of food items in the menu to choose from , our prices are very nominal and very good food reviews (please check our google reviews and reviews in our catalogue)
3. How is the pricing? Is there whole package including stay and food all inclusive?
In surrounding area the all inclusive package prices are around Rs.1800 to Rs. 2500 per person per night, this will include lunch and dinner meals will be priced around Rs.275 to Rs.350 per meal as default price. To cut down on price and give YOU more flexibility and control over the pricing we offer fixed price on stay and the food will be charged only based on what you order from our menu. This works out to be much cheaper than package. If you still insist to have all inclusive package prices we can offer it.
4. What is the Check-in & Check-out time?
Check In Time is after 11:30 am and Check out time is by 10 am. But we offer flexibility - you can possibly check in early if there are no previous day guests to check out in morning. Similarly if there are no guests expected to check in for that day or they are expected to check in late after your normal check out time, then we can possibly allow late check out for you. This can be pre arranged with caretaker.
5. Will we get whole bungalow? Occupancy?
Yes you will get whole bungalow, we do not take multiple bookings. We have capacity for upto 15 guests. [very rarely we have done double booking pre agreed with guests when there is very small group of 2-4 guests, short duration etc.]
6. How to book? How to make payment? Can we pay cash?
You can book directly with us on WhatsApp chat with your requirements of date and number of guests, once booking agreed we will share UPI / QR code / GPay for online payment, just pay 50% deposit advance payment to confirm the booking. The balance payment can be made after check in along with food bill. All payments can be done by UPI / GPay, no need for any cash payment.
7. By when to book?
Earlier the better as we are available online to book instantly on different booking websites. Once you confirm we will block the dates for you across all booking platforms.
8. What is included in booking price?
Whole Bunglow, Indoor and Outdoor games, Music system, Tata Sky TV, Play area. We generally charge for stay only and keep food flexible for you to order and pay accordingly. We have nominal price for campfire, barbeque, hookah hire, kids inflatable water pool etc. we sometimes offer discounts on these or include in the stay price based on the season and demand.
9. Discounts?
Our prices are nominal in the area, we offer discounts to existing customers and their referrals. We occasionally give special offers and discounts.
10. Best route and Directions? How much duration from Pune / PCMC / Mumbai?
From Pune (40KM) : Deccan Gymkhana -> NDA Chowk -> Paud -> towards Kolvan -> Girivan
From PCMC/Pune : Chandni chowk -> Hinjewadi -> Man (goan) -> Gothawde Phata -> Pirangut -> Paud -> towards Kolvan -> Girivan
From Mumbai (140KM) / Navi Mumbai / Thane : Lonavala -> take exit for Pavana dam -> scenic route -> Kolvan -> Girivan
11. Who else will be at the property?
Only the caretaker family (husband, wife and a kid) They have separate room in separate building near the bungalow, in the same plot. You will have full privacy. Caretaker will come to bunglow only when required - serving food, cleaning, etc.
12. Is the area and property secured?
Yes, the holiday home is in a big plot in a private hill station called Girivan, here there are many such bungalows all around the hill station within their own big plots. The hill station has main security gate with guards, individual plots fencings, local area caretaker to look after etc. so it is fully secured and completely safe.
13. What are the activities to do?
Lot of Indoor and Outdoor Activities .. The Bungalow plot has lot of open space where you can play – cricket, football, volleyball, basketball, badminton etc. all sports equipment provided without any extra charges; while indoor – chess, carrom, cards, 10 wooden board games, for music Bluetooth Party speaker, TV with Blu-ray DVD player, USB input, Tata Sky Dish TV, Books to read, etc available for guests. There is also Adventure sports park within Girivan, just 10 min walk from our place where you can do – rope climbing, riffle shooting, rope bridge, rain dance, cycling etc. for nominal fee of Rs.200 per person (tbc).
14. Are parties, loud music allowed? Can we drink alcohol at Holiday Home?
Yes, all bungalows are in midst of big plots around so there is no disturbance to any neighbours. Music and parties are allowed, but you can also have a quite time
15. What amenities does Holiday Home offer?
Bedrooms: Big bedrooms with king size double beds, fresh washed linen, bedside table, wardrobe, etc.
Big bathrooms: Hot water geyser, shower, western toilet, handwash, mirror, toiletries, etc.
Small Kitchenette: New fridge, hot water electric kettle, water purifier, cutlery (no cooking).
Other amenities: Inverter power backup, Television, Separate Accommodation for Driver, Free Parking Space, etc.
16. How can we order the food and any queries?
Menu will be shared on whatsApp, once booking confirmed, caretaker will get in touch to discuss food requirements and will make arrangements. Also caretaker number will be shared, you can discuss any further queries regarding food (quantity, ingredients, price etc) and stay with caretaker.
17. Is Barbeque Available ?
Yes we have barbeque, you can discuss with caretaker for barbeque food items.
18. Is there mobile network?
Yes, Jio and Idea / Vodaphone network is better, as it is a hill station the mobile signal is weak in some areas ..
19. Are there shops nearby for Cake, Alcohol, Soft Drinks, Cigarettes.. etc nearby?
Yes for Soft Drinks, Cigarettes but No for Cake & Alcohol. It’s a private hill station with acres of greenery and beautiful mountain and valley views. At the central location, there is a canteen (bit expensive) and recently one small shop opened but timings are not fixed. Nearest small town is Kolvan, around 5 km. So we request guests to get any essentials they need. If anything required, our caretaker can get it for you on his bike, need to check his free time and may be offer some tip.
